The Cleveland Winds Launches New Chamber Music Educational Outreach Program
The Cleveland Winds is thrilled to announce the launch of a new Chamber Music Educational Outreach Program, designed to inspire the next generation of musicians in Lorain.
Thanks to generous support from Lorain City Schools and a powerful collaboration with the Cleveland State University (CSU) School of Music, we are bringing the world of chamber music directly to Lorain City School students!
A Focus on Mentorship and Inspiration
This program is more than just performances—it's about creating a valuable mentorship pipeline.
- Cleveland Winds performers will mentor CSU music students, guiding them toward successful careers as performers and educators.
- The talented students of the CSU Chamber Music Collective, led by junior trombone performance major Logan Hovorka, will prepare and deliver the chamber music performances.
- Lorain City Schools music educators will also play a crucial role, advising the CSU performers on how to make the biggest impact and motivate their students.
The goal is simple: to encourage Lorain's young musicians to explore the unique rewards of playing in chamber ensembles.
This initiative is the first of what the Cleveland Winds board and music director envision as a thriving educational outreach effort, dedicated to supporting both pre-professional collegiate musicians and inspiring pre-collegiate students in their performance aspirations.
